Sunday, Oct. 23

  • At 12 a.m. a minor was reported to be in possession of alcohol inside of Downing residence hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 12:43 a.m. spray paint was found on the bathroom wall inside of the Alexander Music Building. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 1 a.m. the Ypsilanti Police Department received a call about a robbery with a weapon at the location of North Huron Street. The Current status of this case is open.
  • At 1:08 a.m. the Ypsilanti Police Department received a call regarding an assault and battery located at South Summit Street. The current status of this case is pending.

Monday, Oct. 24

  • At 3:44 p.m. a subject was found urinating in public and was arrested on outstanding warrants outside of Sill Hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 10:46 p.m. the Department of Public Safety received a call regarding a slight odor of marijuana emanating from a room inside Hoyt residence hall. The current status of this case is open.

Tuesday, Oct. 25

  • At 3:59 p.m. DPS received a call regarding a loud verbal argument outside of Boone residence hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 3:51 p.m. a student reported a stolen vehicle from Ann Street Parking Lot on campus. The offense was believed to have occurred between Oct. 25 at 10:26 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
  • At 4:45 p.m. a student reported a vehicle being struck while parked inside the Oakwood Street parking lot. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 9:42 p.m. a student reported that a set of keys was stolen from inside the dining commons. The current status of this case is open.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

  • At 12:42 a.m. DPS received a call regarding a highly intoxicated student found inside of Pittman residence hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 10:18 p.m. DPS received a call regarding a hangtag and property stolen from an unsecured vehicle parked in front of Westview Apartments. The offense was believed to have occurred between Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. This case closed on Oct. 26.
  • At 3:10 a.m. a student reported an incident of domestic violence occurring inside of Best residence hall. The offense was believed to have occurred between Jan. 1, 2016 at 12 a.m. and April. 1, 2016 at 12 a.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 2:55 p.m. DPS received a call regarding graffiti marked on the wind screen at the athletic practice facility.

Friday, Oct. 28

  • At 3:53 a.m. the Ypsilanti Police Department received a call regarding a subject’s purse snatched with no force resulting in a felonious assault on Railroad Street near Peninsular Place apartments. The current status of this case is pending.
  • At 2:03 a.m. a driver was cited for DWLS (driving while license suspended) and open intoxicants inside the vehicle at the location of Railroad Street and Leforge Road. This case closed on Oct. 28.
  • At 2:51 a.m. DPS received a call regarding underage students consuming alcohol inside of Hoyt residence hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 5:57 p.m. a minor was found to be intoxicated inside of the Mark Jefferson Science Complex. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 9:42 a.m. DPS received a call regarding an activity poster burned on the bulletin board inside of Pray-Harrold Hall. The offense was believed to have occurred between Jan. 1, 2016 at 12 a.m. and Oct. 28, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 11:06 a.m. a subject reported an unattended stolen purse from inside of the Student Center. The offense was believed to have occurred on Oct. 28 between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. The current status of this case is open.

Saturday, Oct. 29

  • At 9:25 p.m. local authorities received a call regarding a stolen car stereo and a GPS system taken from a vehicle parked on Huron Street. The offense was believed to have occurred between Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 29 at 9:25 p.m. This case was closed on Oct. 29.

Sunday, Oct. 30

  • At 1:25 a.m. an underage student was reported to be consuming alcohol inside of Jones residence hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 1:28 p.m. DPS received a call regarding spray paint found on the walls of the Parking Structure. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 2:46 p.m. an underage student was found to be intoxicated inside of Pittman residence hall. The student was taken to a local area hospital, treated and then released. The current status of this case is open.
