Monday, Oct. 31

  • At 4:02 a.m. the Ypsilanti Police Department apprehended a suspect for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs on the corner of Huron River Drive and Leforge Road. The status of this case is pending.
  • At 8:55 a.m. the Department of Public Safety received a call regarding racist graffiti found on the east wall of Ford Hall. The incident was believed to have occurred between Friday, Oct. 28 at 8 a.m. and Monday, Oct. 31 at 8:55 a.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 1:11 pm DPS received a call regarding rings stolen from the inside of Sherzer Hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 12:02 p.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing phone calls being made to Snow Health Center. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 2:17 p.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing communications from a subject inside of Ford Hall. The offense was believed to have occurred at 2:06 p.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 2:22 p.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing racial phone calls from inside Bruce T. Halle Library. The offense was believed to have occurred between Monday, Oct. 31 at 2:13 and 2:16 p.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 2:24 p.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing phone calls from inside the Student Center. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 2:58 p.m. staff members inside of Pray-Harrold reported harassing text messages sent to them. The offense was believed to have occurred between 2:05 and 2:10 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 9:18 p.m. a minor was found in possession of alcohol inside his/her dorm room in Putnam Residence Hall. The current status of the case is open.
  • At 9:21 p.m. DPS received a call regarding subjects having a loud verbal argument inside of Putnam Residence Hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 11:25 p.m. graffiti was found on the back stairwell wall of Best Residence hall. The current status of this case is open.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

  • At 3:38 a.m. a subject was found to be highly intoxicated on Perrin Street. The subject was subsequently turned to Huron Valley Ambulance. This case was closed on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
  • At 11:32 a.m. DPS received a call regarding a stolen Microsoft Xbox console from inside of Best Residence Hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 12:47 p.m. graffiti was found in the lavatory inside of Strong Hall. The offense was believed to have occurred between Friday, Oct. 28 at 12 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 12:20 p.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 6:15 p.m. a driver traveling on Roosevelt Street and Washtenaw Avenue was arrested on warrants and found in possession of drug paraphernalia. This case was closed on Thursday, Nov. 4.
  • At 11:25 p.m. a resident advisor inside of Walton Residence hall reported a subject threatening to kill someone. The current status of this case is open.

Wednesday, Nov. 2

  • On Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 2:58 a.m. DPS received a call regarding a peaceful protest that was taking place inside of the Student Center. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 5:26 p.m. DPS received a call regarding an underage student showing up to work intoxicated on Oakwood Street. The current status of this case is open.

Thursday, Nov. 3

  • At 11:53 a.m. staff members inside of Hill Residence Hall reported harassing phone calls being made inside the building. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 11:56 a.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing communications from inside of Brown Apartments. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 12:01 p.m. staff members inside of Hoyt Residence Hall reported harassing phone calls being made. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 12:17 p.m. staff members inside of Sellers Residence hall reported harassing phone calls being made. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 12:22 p.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing communications being made towards staff members inside of Snow Health Center. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 12:48 p.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing phone calls being made in the Dining Commons. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 3:13 p.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing communications being made inside of Downing Residence Hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 3:26 p.m. a set of keys belonging to Housing and Residence Life were reported stolen from inside of a box in Wise Residence Hall. The offense was believed to have occurred between Wednesday, Oct. 19 between 7:00 and 9:30 a.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 3:35 p.m. DPS received a call regarding obscene phone calls being made from inside of Pierce Hall. The offense was believed to have occurred between 1:59 and 2:08 p.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 5:21 p.m. DPS received a call regarding a hit and run accident inside the Student Center parking lot. The offense was believed to have occurred between 8:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. This case was closed on Thursday, Nov. 3.
  • At 6:30 p.m. DPS received a call regarding a fraudulent hangtag being used in the North Campus parking lot. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 7:02 p.m. a student was suspected to be in possession of marijuana inside of Hoyt Residence Hall. This case was closed on Friday, Nov. 4.
  • At 10:29 p.m. a student was found to be in possession of a concealed weapon inside of the Dining Commons. The current status of this case is open.

Friday, Nov. 4

  • At 12:32 pm DPS received a call regarding items stolen from inside the Student Center. The offense was believed to have occurred between Thursday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 4 at 12 p.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 9:45 a.m. DPS received a call regarding harassing communications made from inside of Welch Hall. The offense was believed to have occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 12 a.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 8:33 p.m. a student reported a cell phone stolen from the kitchenette area on the first floor inside of Phelps Residence Hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 11:31 p.m. graffiti was found inside Roosevelt Hall. The current status of this case is open.

Saturday, Nov. 5

  • At 12:19 a.m. a suspect fled a traffic stop at Cross Street and Oakwood Street. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 1:11 am DPS received a call regarding a loud verbal argument between a couple that took place inside of Hoyt Residence Hall. This case was closed on Sunday, Nov. 6.
  • At 2:45 a.m. DPS received a call regarding two subjects engaged in a loud verbal argument inside Phelps Residence Hall. This case was closed on Sunday, Nov. 6.
  • At 4:27 a.m. DPS received a call regarding a couple’s loud verbal argument that took place inside Walton Residence Hall. This case was closed on Sunday, Nov. 6.
  • At 8:56 a.m. a subject reported a navigation system stolen from a vehicle parked on South Huron Street. The offense was believed to have occurred between Friday, Nov. 4 at 12 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 10:57 p.m. DPS received a call regarding a verbal argument between a couple that took place inside of Phelps Residence Hall. This case was closed on Sunday, Nov. 6.
  • At 4:44 a.m. DPS received a call regarding marijuana use inside Hill Residence Hall. The student then subsequently provided false information to the officer. This case was closed on Sunday, Nov. 6.
