Police Blotter, Oct. 1

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • At 12:33 a.m. the Department of Public Safety received a call regarding suspected marijuana use on the grounds at the Village building. Subjects were also arrested on warrants. This case was closed on Sept. 25.
  • At 12:34 a.m. possible narcotics activity was reported at the Student Center. Subject was found to be involved in sale and possession of marijuana and accompanying paraphernalia. This case was closed on Sept. 29.

Sunday, Sept. 25

  • At 3:16 a.m. a larceny was reported to DPS regarding a stolen Schwinn bicycle from Cornell Courts Apartments. The stolen bicycle is blue and purple in color. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 8:21 p.m. DPS received a call regarding graffiti found in the stairwell in Wise Residence Hall. The crime was said to have occurred between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 9:49 p.m. a student was found in possession of marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia in the north campus parking lot. This case was closed on Sept. 25.

Monday, Sept. 26

  • At 5:05 p.m. a student's vehicle was struck while parked in the Hoyt Residence Hall parking lot. The current status of this case is open
  • At 5:33 p.m. DPS received a call regarding a student claiming she was sexually assaulted in Phelps Residence Hall. The offense occurred between 4-5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25. The current status of the case is still open.

Tuesday, Sept. 27

  • At 4:24 p.m. authorities were alerted to fraudulent use of a debit card in Buell Residence Hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 5:27 p.m. a female student was walking through the Mayhew parking lot when she was pushed by a moving vehicle. No injuries were reported and security cameras in the area confirmed she was pushed. The vehicle was described as a white sedan. This case closed on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

  • At 11:35 a.m. authorities were alerted to possible wire fraud occurring in Hover building when a suspicious invoice was sent to accounts payable. The crime was reported at 2:21 p.m. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 7:32 p.m. a larceny was reported in the north campus parking lot when certain personal effects were taken from a student's vehicle. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 9:30 p.m. a hit and run automobile accident occurred in the Student Center parking lot. The current status of this case is open.

Thursday, Sept. 29

  • At 5:35 p.m. campus security authorities (CSA) reported a student being harassed via Snapchat in Hoyt Residence Hall. The current status of the case is open.
  • At 5:38 p.m. a student reported stolen items taken from Phelps Residence Hall. The items were left unattended. The current status of this case is open.

Friday, Sept. 30

  • At 1:26 a.m. an underage student was found to be intoxicated in Hoyt Residence Hall. The subject was transported to a local area hospital, treated and released. This case closed on Friday, Sept. 30.
  • At 5:40 p.m. a larceny was reported in the north campus lot when a license plate was stolen from a vehicle. The offense occurred between 3-5 p.m. Sept. 24. The current status of this case is open.

Saturday, Oct. 1

  • At 7:37 p.m. campus security authorities reported unwanted touching of a student occurring at or near Walton Residence Hall. The current status of this case is open.
  • At 10:34 p.m. a subject was found to be consuming open beer or intoxicants in public at Washington Street and Ferris Street. The current status of this case is open.
