Eagles Eye: 10/16

The Eastern Michigan football team won its third road game in a row against the Ohio Bobcats in a 27-20 game on Oct. 15. Quarterback Brogan Roback set a career high for passing yards with 347.

The EMU soccer team picked up a win at home against Ohio as it won 2-0 on Oct. 14. Rachel Washburn and Stef Barcelos each contributed a goal in the win.

The Eagle volleyball team was shutout against Bowling Green on Oct. 14 as it fell 3-0. Jordan Smith led the way in the loss with seven kills.

The soccer team celebrated senior day as it ended in a 0-0 draw with Kent State on Oct. 15. Michelle Rollins led the team as she attempted three shots and two shots on goal.

The Eastern Michigan volleyball fell in 3-1 loss against Miami of Ohio on Oct. 15. Rachel Irbe led the team with 15 kills while also adding a block.

The no. 16 overall ranked, Eastern Michigan women's  cross country competed in the Pre-Nationals Invitational on Oct. 15. The blue race team placed seventh overall and were led by Jordann McDermitt who had a 20:32 time.

The EMU men's cross country competed at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Oct. 14. The Eagles finished in the 14 slot as they placed four top-100 finishers.

The Men's swimming and diving team kicked off their season at Northwestern as they fell to the Wildcats 167-128. Tosh Kawaguchi swept the backstroke events as he won two of the four races Eastern Michigan won.
