Police blotter, Sept. 12

Monday, Sept. 5

A call was placed to the Department of Public Safety after an underage subject was found intoxicated in Putnam Hall and in possession of alcohol. The subject was transported to a local area hospital, treated and released. The case was closed on Monday.

At 2:05 a.m. an individual was picked up by authorities on Cross Street and Ballard Street for possession of marijuana as well as warrants. The current status of this case is open.

Tuesday, Sept. 6

At 11:27 p.m. a call was placed to DPS after a female was assaulted by her boyfriend in Phelps Residence Hall. This case was closed on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

At 6:57 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted at Michigan Avenue and Huron Street. The driver of the vehicle was cited for Driving While License Suspended (DWLS) and passengers were in possession of marijuana.

A larceny was reported on Tuesday, Sept. 6 (2309 – larceny from grounds surrounding building). This case is currently still open.

Wednesday, Sept. 7

An individual was reported to DPS for public drunkenness on Pearl Street at approximately 1:31 a.m. The subject was transported to a local area hospital, treated and released. This case was closed on Wednesday.

A larceny from mail was reported in Downing Residence Hall. The offense occurred between Saturday, Sept. 3 and Wednesday, Sept. 9. A student found a package open and the contents of said package were missing. The current status of this case is open.

At 6:43 p.m. a larceny was reported at the Student Center parking lot. A student's commuter hang tag was stolen from the vehicle while parked. The current status of this case remains open.

Thursday, Sept. 8

No crimes are reported for Thursday, Sept. 8.

Friday, Sept. 9

On Friday at 1:34 a.m. a call was placed to DPS regarding a minor in possession of alcohol in Putnam Residence Hall. The subject was cited. This case was closed on Friday, Sept. 9.
