Summer events in Ypsi

Summer can make campus feel as dead as the dry heat outside. However, just because the academics aren’t in full swing doesn’t mean the fun isn’t. Looking for some summer events in the Ypsilanti Area? Look no further.

Lampshade located at 206 W. Michigan Ave.

This venue hosts an open mic night every Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Looking for a way to get some feels out, impress your special someone, or listen to some beautiful compilations, stop by. Not only does the Lampshade host a wonderful spot for community growth, it also won’t be around much longer. This hot spot is currently on the market, so take a visit while you still can!

Cultivate Coffee at 307 N River St. is always a good place to enjoy a cup of coffee but they also host various community events.

A few events coming up in the next month include:

Nancy Flanagan’s “Ypsi: New Work” on July 8th, from 6-9 p.m. This event will launch her new series of artwork.
