Rhonda Longworth, Eastern Michigan University professor of political science and veteran administrator, was named interim provost of EMU. The announcement comes after Kim Schatzel, provost and interim president, was named president of Towson University. Longworth has worked at EMU for 21 years.
“Dr. Longworth has made many outstanding contributions to Eastern since her arrival in 1994 as an assistant professor of Political Science,” Schatzel said in a press release.
Longworth will take the position officially Jan. 8, 2016.
