The Eastern Michigan University women’s cross country team competed at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Friday November 13, 2015 in Madison Wis. The Eagles finished in sixth place with a total of 216 points. This finish is the best the team has done since 1996 when the team took second.
Alsu Bogdanova, following her performance in the MAC Championship, would lead the Eagles with a ninth place finish and a time of 20:50.3. Jordan McDermitt and Sofie Gallein would be the next ones to cross the finish line for the Eagles, finishing in 19th and 34th place with times of 21:01.0 and 21:24.5. Jenna Wyns would be behind them in 70th place with a time of 22:02.3. Amy Frauhammer and Danielle Bentzley would round out the Eagle runners. They would finish 104th and 125th with times of 22:47.1 and 23:07.4 respectively.
The women’s cross country team will now play the waiting game to see if their one of the teams selected to compete in the NCAA Championship November 21st.
