Four Eastern Michigan University students will be performing at TEDx Detroit at the Fox Theatre Oct. 8.
Two of the students, Scout Bostley and Darius Simpson, will be performing their poem "Lost Voices," which helped the EMU Slam Team earn third place at the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational and went viral over the summer, earning 2,780,582 hits on YouTube.
The other two students, Courtney and Andrea Shelby, are members of the singing group "Shelby 5" which will be performing at TedxDetroit. Their family was also featured on "Real Preachers of Detroit."
