Eastern Michigan quarterback Reggie Bell will miss “several weeks” with a broken jaw coach Creighton confirmed in Monday morning’s EMU press conference.
“It’s probably going to be several weeks. He’s got a broken jaw,” said Creighton. He also noted that Bell would not need surgery.
The redshirt sophomore Bell went 12-18 with two touchdowns and an interception before being knocked out of the game with the jaw injury on Sept. 5 against Old Dominion.
Fellow redshirt sophomore quarterback Brogan Roback will be the probable starter for Saturday’s Ball State game after going 17-24 with three touchdowns this past Saturday against Wyoming.
