Susan Martin attended her final Board of Regents meeting today in room 201 Welch Hall.
Martin has been the president of EMU for seven years, and is the university's first female president.
At the meeting, Martin gave an emotional final President's Report.
"In closing, I would like to thank the board, my colleagues in the leadership program, the faculty and staff and most importantly, the students," Martin said at the end of her report.
When Martin finished speaking, she received a standing ovation.
Martin officially steps down in July.
