The Eastern Michigan men's track and field team won the Mid-American Conference outdoor championship and the Eastern Michigan women’s team finished second on Saturday, May 16 in Muncie, Ind. after three days of competition.
For the men, this was their 23rd outdoor championship in program history. Redshirt sophomore Willy Fink was also named MAC Most Valuable Performer and head coach John Goodridge was named coach of the year.
On the women’s side, the Eagles fell just 13.5 points short of first place Akron. Eastern Michigan senior Victoria Voronko was named MAC Most Outstanding Track Performer.
The Eagles have NCAA Regional Qualifiers left on May 28 to May 30 in Jacksonville, Fla.
