Olalekan Ajayi, center for Eastern Michigan University’s basketball team is transferring, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
Last year, Ajayi played in 29 of the Eagles 35 games and averaged 13.7 minutes per game. He averaged 1.5 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game.
Ajayi is set to graduate from Eastern in April, but he plans to attend grad school and use his last year of eligibility elsewhere.
In other news, Eastern Michigan picked up their second commit for the 2015-16 season as San Jacinto College junior college player Willie Mangum announced on Twitter that he was committing to the Eagles.
Mangum who has two more years of eligibility left is a 6’1”, 200-pound shooting guard from Richmond, Va.
Last year for San Jacinto College, Mangum played in all 34 games and averaged 27.2 minutes per game. He was also their leading scorer with 20.6 points per game and shot 31.8 percent from three.
Mangum now joins 5’9” point guard LaMonta Stone as the Eagles only two recruits so far in the off-season.
