The Eastern Michigan University Athletic Department announced today that they will host the first ever “Ypsis,” which is an award banquet event similar to the ESPY’s. It will feature a green-carpet entrance and Hollywood-style production according to a press release released by emueagles.com.
The “Ypsis” will take place on Monday, April 20, at the Convocation Center at 7 p.m. Tickets for non-student-athletes will be $20 and are on sale now at the Eastern Michigan University Marketplace.
“Our student-athletes have represented Eastern Michigan University extraordinarily well in the classroom, in the community and in competition – we have so much to be proud of,” said Heather Lyke, vice president and director of athletics, in the release. “We are excited to showcase our accomplishments in this fantastic new format, and we hope you come celebrate with us.”
