Eastern Michigan senior gymnasts Anna Willette and Carrina Lo Bello will both be heading to NCAA Regionals on April 4 in Columbus, Ohio. Both will be competing in the individual all-around portion of the meet and the meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
For Lo Bello, this will be her first time competing at regionals. She is currently ranked tied for 81 in the NCAA and fifth in the MAC with a Regional Qualifying Score of 38.700.
For Willette, this is her second time competing at regionals. Last year she competed in Baton Rouge, La., on the balance beam and scored a 9.600, which placed her tied for 39.
This year she is currently ranked tied for first in the MAC and tied for 51 in the NCAA with a RQS of 39.060.
Freshman Kendall Valentin was also named as an alternate for the uneven bars.
As a team, the Eagles fell just short of making regionals finishing the year ranked 37. The top 36 schools in the nation make regionals.
