City of Dexter to host 'Easter Eggstravaganza' event

If you and your family and friends are looking for something fun to do for Easter, then you may want to consider visiting the city of Dexter on Saturday, April 4.

Dexter, located about 15 minutes outside of Ann Arbor, will be holding their 5th annual Easter Eggstravaganza at Community Park, 3575 Ryan Dr.

“We are encouraging Dexter residents, as well as residents of nearby communities, to join us for the Easter Eggstravaganza to help promote outdoor physical activity and sociability, especially among Washtenaw County youths,” said Justin Breyer, assistant to the city manager of Dexter.

The event will include Easter egg scrambles for kids of all ages, pictures with the Easter Bunny and face paintings. In 2014, this event hosted about 250 local residents and they are hoping to see even more this year.

“We recognize that many students may not be familiar with Dexter, so we are encouraging students and their families to attend this event as an introduction to the amenities, businesses and events that Dexter has to offer,” said Breyer.

If you are interested in taking your children, siblings or friends to the event then you can purchase tickets ahead of time at Dexter City Hall, 8123 Main St., second floor of the PNC Bank building.

Cost in advance is $2 for one child or $4 for two or more children. Cost at the door will be $3 for one child or $5 for two or more children.
