The Ypsilanti Police Department began an investigation of a report of a home invasion and armed robbery that occurred at 7:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, on the 100 block of N. Normal St.
The victim of the invasion and armed robbery is a male EMU student. He reported that two male suspects forced their way into his residence armed with guns, and then proceeded to assault him and demand marijuana. The victim reported that the suspects punched him in the face during the assault. He refused medical treatment.
The suspects fled the area with marijuana and a laptop. Officers searched the area, but were not able to locate the suspects or the stolen laptop.
The victim described the suspects as one light-skinned black male, about six feet tall, with a thin build and fade haircut wearing a gray jacket and gray pants and one dark-skinned black male, also about six feet tall with a thin build, wearing a blue hoodie and armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
