The Lunch and Learn will focus on how a master’s degree in business can help your career. The event will discuss the steps to start an MBA, how an MBA fits into your schedule and how to finance your education. The event will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in room 10 of McKenny Hall.
Upward Bound Helping Hands
Upward Bound Helping Hands will be holding a meeting for those interested in mentoring and those in need of community service hours. TINTYPES

Student Development Conference
The student development conference is an annual conference that is planned by the Eastern Michigan University chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. The goal of the conference is to help students in and around southeastern Michigan prepare for careers in public relations, journalism and marketing. The conference will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in the Student Center. This event is LBC approved.
On-Campus Housing Fair
The on-campus housing fair will include virtual tours of on-campus housing options, raffles, a hot chocolate bar, full-size sample layouts of rooms and a flu clinic. Those who get a flu shot at the housing fair will be entered to win an iPad mini from student government. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in the Student Center Ballroom. Friday Night Movie: This Is Where I Leave You
The free Friday night movie is at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. “This Is Where I Leave You” will be showing in the Student Center Auditorium.
Wind Conducting Symposium
The event will include morning and afternoon conducting sessions with the Eastern Michigan University Wind Symphony and Symphonic band. There will also be a lecture presentation by guest clinician professor Steven Davis. The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in Alexander Music Building room 105.
Season of Light
Season of Light explores the reasons why we are fascinated with lighting up the December holiday season. This event will focus on the astronomical meanings behind seasonal traditions including the “Star of Bethlehem.” Tickets are $5 and the event will be from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in Eastern Michigan University planetarium room 402 of the Mark Jefferson Science Complex.
