Faculty/Staff Lunch & Learn: Low-Sodium Cooking to Prevent Hypertension

The office of Nutrition Services will be hosting the Lunch and Learn to demonstrate healthy recipes that are low in sodium. The event will be from noon to 2 p.m., Dec. 11, in room 5 of Roosevelt Hall.

The event is free, to reserve a seat at the vent visit their Event Brite page.

All I Want For Christmas Showcase

Detroit Does Well is a student organization hosting the “All I want for Christmas Workshop." The workshop will feature dancing, poems, songs, and spoken word artists. The event will be from 6:30 to 10 p.m., Dec. 11, in the Student Center Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

The Elapsing Cities - Photo Exhibition

The Elapsing Cities: Public Art Show session was held in October. EMU Student Artist, Nicholas McFadden-Keesling, painted images of global climate change on faces. This exhibition features photos taken during the event by Chloe Keene and Libby Smith. The photo exhibition will be from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Dec. 11, in the lower level of the Mark Jefferson Science Complex.

Snack and Study

Campus Life is hosting snake and study, they will provide everything essential for a solid cram-session such as a free breakfast buffet, massages and giveaways. Stay the whole time or just stop by for twenty minutes, the event is free and open to all Eastern Michigan University students. The event will be from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Dec. 11, in the Student Center Ballroom.

Campus Sustainability Presentations

Students in HNRS 179: Global Issues of the Environment, will present their final projects on improving the sustainability of the EMU campus. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Dec. 12, in rooms 201-216 in Pray-Harrold.
