“The Velveteen Rabbit,” a play based upon the popular children’s picture book, is set to premiere at the Quirk-Sponberg Theater from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 with a second showing from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15.
The story of the show centers on the Velveteen Rabbit, a toy rabbit that longs to become real and his journey to do so through the love of a child.
The journey of the Velveteen Rabbit coming to life is one of love, acceptance and change. His growing relationship with the main character will move the audience to tears.
The show is recommended for children ages five and up. The performance is open to the public and tickets cost $5 at the door on a first-come, first-serve basis. This performance is not eligible for LBC credit. This show is part of the 2014-2015 Theatre of the Young touring season.
