Star Wars, Star Trek and Football Debate
Star
Wars versus Light Sabers will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10,
in room 350 of the Student Center. The debate will showcase the impact that
Football and the Star Wars/Trek franchises have had on American culture. The
debate will judged by both students and faculty. This event is LBC approved.
Open House at EMU Honors College
Starkweather
Hall will play host to the first Open House of the season for the Eastern
Michigan University’s Honors College from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10. The
open house will feature tours of Starkweather and student research projects in
McKenny Hall. Lolita Cummings-Carson will also be at the open house as the
keynote speaker. Refreshments will be provided at the start of the event.
Academically Speaking for Presentations
Academically Speaking will be focusing on tips and tricks students need to administer oral communication of research and creative activities. EMU Staff/Faculty Lunch and Learn: Going gluten-free
Join Staff from 12 p.m.
to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in room 5 of Roosevelt hall for a seminar to
discuss what gluten is and why a gluten-free diet is beneficial. The lunch and
learn will include a demo meal for everyone to taste. Tickets can be reserved
