Lyric Lounge

Join the Poetry Society and Campus Life for a night of slam poetry and music Thursday. The event is open for anyone to watch or perform and snacks and drinks will be provided at the start of the event. The Lyric Lounge starts at 9 p.m. in room 300 of the Student Center.

EMU Staff/Faculty Lunch and Learn: Investment Strategies, Part II

This staff and faculty Lunch and Learn will focus on how to make the most of a portfolio, including topics on stocks, mutual funds and allocation strategies. The Lunch and Learn goes from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in room 100 of McKenny Hall. Attendance to part one is not required for part two. Holiday Art Fair 2014

The Holiday Art Fair presents 120 jury-selected artists along with holiday entertainment and art activities for children. The art fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Convocation Center. The cost of the event is $5. Eastern Winds Quintet and Friends

Samuel Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915,” is the featured composition. The composition was inspired by a small boy's childhood memories of a summer night. Soprano MeeAe Nam and Kevin Miller, both faculty members of the Music and Dance department at EMU, will join the quintet. The concert starts at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, in Pease Auditorium.
