International Conversation Club

Students of all ethnicities are encouraged to attend the International Conversation Club and participate in talks about various topics. This meeting will be held in Room 424 of King Hall from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. This event is LBC approved.

Authors Robert Glück and Miranda Mellis: Writers in Conversation

Authors Robert Glück and Miranda Mellis will speak on the criteria of the “Real: Memory, Text, and Autobiography” in the Halle Library Auditorium from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. This event is LBC approved.

Friday Night Movie: Lucy

Scarlett Johansson plays a woman who turns the tables on her captors by using 100 percent of her brain’s capabilities. Showings will be in the Student Center auditorium Friday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

New Fiber 2014

The viewing of a national juried exhibition featuring contemporary fiber art in a range of forms begins Oct. 27. The works selected include pieces that were influenced by traditional and contemporary approaches. This exhibition begins at 10 a.m. and will go to 5 p.m. The reception is Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m.
