The Eastern Michigan University football team has announced three future non-conference games to its schedule according to the 2014 EMU media guide.
On Sept. 9, 2017 the Eagles travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. to take on the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
On Sept. 8, 2018 the Eagles will head down to West Lafayette, Ind. to face the Purdue University Boilermakers.
These two teams last met on Sept. 15th, 2012. The Boilermakers defeated the Eagles 54-16. Defensively the Eagles struggled letting up 576 total yards.
Finally, on Sept. 14, 2019 the Eagles will travel to Champaign, Ill. to take on the Fighting Illini of the University of Illinois. This will also be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
In addition to these three new games the Eagles will take on Michigan State University in East Lansing on Sept. 20th, 2014 and Sept. 10th, 2016. The Spartans also come to Ypsilanti on Sept. 12, 2020, and then the Eagles will have a matchup at Louisiana State University on Oct. 3rd, 2015.
Since 2009, the Eagles are 4-16 in non-conference games.
