Eastern Michigan University guard Darell Combs has decided to transfer according to Chicago Hoops on Tuesday.
Combs averaged 7.4 points in 15.1 minutes of playing time per contest this past season at EMU, which finished with a 22-15 record.
“I am looking for a great relationship with the head coach and somewhere that I can just enjoy myself and at least feel safe,” Combs said on chicagohoops.com Tuesday. “I just want an overall better opportunity.”
The sophomore joined EMU this past season after transferring from Blinn College in Brenham, Texas.
Combs has his release and will have two years of playing eligibility remaining.
With Combs transferring, this will give coach Rob Murphy another spot for the upcoming 2014-15 class.
