Dissertation Defense

A doctoral dissertation event hosted by Eastern Michigan University’s Department of Teacher Education, Educational Studies Doctoral Program Urban Education Concentration will be presented by Clayton Hall.

The dissertation is entitled, “Voices of Adolescents: : A Phenomenological Study of Relational Encounters and their Significance within the School Setting.” The event will take place on Tuesday, May 6 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in room 224 of Porter.

Retirement Reception

There will be a retirement reception for Lorraine Wilson and Martha Tanicala on Friday, April 25 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Marshall building Faculty Gathering Room at Eastern Michigan University.

The School of Nursing is hosting the reception.

Heart Walk

Anyone wishing to attend the American Heart Association Heart Walk at Eastern Michigan University is encouraged to do so on Saturday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the main campus.

There is no registration fee, but to participate in the timed 5K, the fee is $35. Dogs are also welcome at the event.
