Material Culture Lectures
Henry Glassie and Pravina Shukla will be presenting lectures on Thursday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m. in room 300 of Halle Library at Eastern Michigan University.
Glassie’s lecture, “The Quest for Excellence in Southern Pottery,” discusses masters in the field of pottery. Shukla’s lecture, “India Adorned: Art and Creativity in Everyday Dress,” will focus on ethnographic fieldwork, such as production and marketing in India.

Art Exhibits
Eastern Michigan University will be holding art exhibits in the Ford Gallery. The artwork is by graduate artists.

Farewell Reception
There will be a farewell reception for Jann Joseph, Dean of the College of Education at Eastern Michigan University. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 22 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in room 100 of Porter.
