Ward named to the All-MAC Third Team

Eastern Michigan University forward Karrington Ward was named to the 2014 Mid-American Conference Third Team by the league’s head coaches on Monday.

Ward is the first Eagle to be named to the All-MAC Third Team since Darrell Lampley in 2012.

The 6-foot-7 junior led Eastern in scoring (12.5 PPG), which ranked as the 15th most in the MAC.

The Lockport, Ill. native also led the Eagles in rebounding (6.4 RPG) which is the 12th best in the league, while also tying as the seventh best defensive rebounder with five per contest.

A season-high 28 points against Cleveland State University on Nov. 18, 2013 highlights Ward’s scoring of 20 on four occasions in the 2013-14 campaign.
