EMU student Bianca Bepler drowned after car plunges into Ohio creek

Eastern Michigan University student Bianca Bepler was killed seconds after crashing her car into a creek in Oregon, Ohio, as reported by the Toledo Blade.

An autopsy performed on Monday revealed that Bepler had no significant injuries and died from drowning. Her car was discovered by a bicyclist at around 10 a.m. on Sunday morning. It is not known what time the incident occurred.

According to Steve Kahle, a Lucas County Coroner’s Office investigator, Bepler was likely on her way to visit family in Ohio and got lost in the Toledo area. Sgt. Chris Bliss of the Oregon Police Department told the Toledo Blade that she had apparently lost control of the vehicle.

Bepler, 20, had been studying sport performance and fitness and was working as a personal trainer the Rec/IM.
