Saturday morning the Eastern Michigan University E-Club honored the newest members of the E-Club Hall of fame in the Student Center Ballroom.
In addition, the E-Club presented the Ron Oestrike Distinguished Service Award to former track & field athlete Ken Behmer.
Behmer, only the fifth recipient of the award, graduated from Eastern in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. He also earned a master’s degree in guidance and counseling in 1970.
Behmer joins previous award winners Jim Streeter (2012), Jack Johnson (2011), Ed Mizinski (2010) and Oestrike (2008).
