Former Eastern Michigan University starting quarterback and wide receiver Alex Gillett was one of eight players who signed with the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday.
Gillett, a 6-1, 214-pound wide receiver signed with the Packers as a non-drafted free agent on May 22 and was with the team until he was released on Aug. 26.
On Nov. 6, the Packers signed Gillett to the practice squad for the remainder of the season.
He played in 45 games with 33 starts at EMU, with 30 of the starts coming at quarterback and three at wide receiver.
