Explore Eastern—

Eastern Michigan University’s Explore Eastern Open House will take take on March 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will begin at EMU’s Student Center and is free.
At the event, faculty will be available to discuss majors and academic programs. Housing, dining, career services, and financial aid will also be available for questions and comments.

Campus tours will be available at 9 a.m., 11:25 a.m., and 12:55 p.m. Parking is also free. To register, call 1-800-GO-EMU.

Plant Pollinator Lecture—
Eastern Michigan University’s biology department will host Nicole E. Rafferty from the University of Arizona. The event will take place on Monday, Jan. 27, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and will be held in room 154 of the Science Complex on EMU’s campus.

The lecture will be based on plant pollinator interactions in a changing climate.

STAR Lecture—

The Eastern Michigan University Honors College will host speaker Valerie Polakow, who will give a presentation entitled “Foreclosed Childhoods: Poverty, Inequality, and the Violation of Human Rights.”

The event will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 7-8:30 p.m. at EMU’s Student Center Balllroom
