Nov. 30

A female subject was found passed out with a bloody nose on a sidewalk on Emmet Street at 2:49 a.m. She is not a student and was transported to the hospital for her injury.

Broken parking gate arms in the North Campus Lot were reported at 9:37 a.m. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

EMU police assisted Ypsilanti police in responding to disorderly conduct on Green Road at 9:37 a.m.

Dec. 1

A female student resident of Pittman Hall reported being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Her ex-boyfriend threw his phone at her face, leaving a mark near her eye. The man is a former EMU student and was arrested for other warrants.

Police responded to the smell of marijuana in Buell Hall at 11:11 p.m. The resident of the room where the smell originated and his guest admitted to smoking marijuana earlier. Police found more marijuana and paraphernalia in the room. Both subjects are students and will be reprimanded under the Student Code of Conduct.

Police found a small amount of marijuana in a lost purse turned into the station at 11:25 p.m. The owner of the purse denied ownership of the marijuana.

Dec. 2

A subject reported for trying to gain access to Hoyt Hall was approached by police at 2:23 a.m. The subject was not a student, and was found in possession of marijuana and narcotic paraphernalia and arrested by police.

A female student reported her vehicle stolen at 11:50 a.m. The previous night, there had been guests in her suite and that morning, she noticed her spare key had gone missing. The vehicle was later found by the sheriff’s office.

A resident of Brown Apartments reported her laptop stolen between 2:30 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. At that time, she left a guest unattended in her room. When she returned, the guest and the laptop were gone. The suspect is not a student and the laptop is still missing.

A juvenile male previously barred from campus was found trespassing in a women’s restroom in Pray-Harrold at 8:17 p.m. The subject was ticketed for trespassing.

Dec. 3

Police were given third-hand information about a sexual assault that occurred on Oakwood Street in January 2013. Police are trying to contact the victim for more information.
