It’s a known fact that I love to eat, but I also have to eat before I eat. I have a grand affinity for appetizers – the more the merrier.
I am also a huge fan of the Food Network and I have derived many of my recipes from this source.
One in particular is the moist goodness of sausage balls.
Sausage Balls Recipe
What you’ll need:
1 pound ground pork sausage (whatever flavor or spice you prefer)
2 cups biscuit baking mix
1 pound shredded cheddar cheese
1-2 baking sheets
What to do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients.
Form into walnut sized balls and place on baking sheets.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes until golden brown.
Another recipe that can be used is one that my husband taught me when we first started dating. He called it mustardy fried chicken. I say that this recipe can be used for an appetizer because of the size of the chicken once the poultry is cut.
Mustardy Fried Chicken Recipe
What you’ll need:
3 eggs
4 chicken breast
Bread crumbs
Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper
Mustard
2 bowls
Vegetable oil
What to do:
In one bowl, mix eggs and mustard.
In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
Dice up chicken breasts into nugget-sized pieces.
Soak chicken in egg and mustard mixture.
Toss nuggets in breadcrumbs and coat thoroughly.
Fry in hot oil until dark brown.
Both of these recipes are very experimental. Add whatever pleases you and enjoy.
