EMU’s College of Business issues journal on global business communication—

Eastern Michigan University’s College of Business has published a second journal on global business communication. The journal takes a look at a changing-but-interactive process of global communication, according to an article from the Division of Communications.

The article is entitled “Global Advances in Business Communication Journal.” It was also printed with a connection to a college in Belgium, the University of Antwerp, and the Technological University of Malaysia, the article says.

Professor of management and director of EMU’s International Business Programs, David Victor, served as editor-in-chief of the journal, the article says.

Thanksgiving Luncheon—

The campus community has been offered the chance to gather at the Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Advanced ticket purchasing is definitely required because the seating for attendees will be at the Student Center Ballroom. Tickets are also available for purchase online at emutix.com.

The cost of tickets is $6 and will be on sale through Friday, Nov. 15 at these locations:

• Quirk Building – 12-5:30 p.m.

• Student Center – 1-9 p.m.

• Convocation Center – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Canned goods and monetary donations will be accepted.

Safety strategies Lunch and Learn—

Eastern Michigan University’s Human Resources is offering a “Personal Safety Strategies: Useful Strategies/Awareness/Options to Avoid Becoming a Victim” session on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in room 330 of the Student Center. The session will be presented by EMU Police Officer
Candace Dorsey, the crime prevention coordinator.

Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch to the session. Registration for the session is completed through Survey Monkey.
