Vision’s GREEN is holding a storm drain labeling event on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 1-4 p.m. The event begins in room 204 of the Student Center, where GREEN will describe how proper stormwater management can improve rivers, streams and lakes.

This event is also LBC approved. RSVP by sending an e-mail to vis_GREEN@emich.edu, or join the GREEN Facebook page.

Parents and Family Weekend will provide several events across Eastern Michigan University’s campus, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 20.

The events include sports, theatre, film screening and concerts.

Below is the list of events:

Friday, October 18:

•10 a.m. – Dance Forum choreography show at Warner Gym (Free)

•7 p.m. – Chamber Choir concert at Pease Auditorium (Free)

•8 p.m. – Screening of “Grown Ups 2” movie in the Student Center Auditorium (Free)

•9 p.m. – “Fiddler on the Roof” at Quirk Theatre ($15/ticket)

•10:30 p.m. – Screening of “Grown Ups 2” movie in Student Center Auditorium (Free)

Saturday, October 19:

•1 p.m. – EMU Football vs. Ohio at Rynearson Stadium ($5 with promo code “PARENT”)

•Band Day and color guard competition

•7 p.m. – “Fiddler on the Roof” at Quirk Theatre ($15/ticket)

Sunday, October 20:

•4 p.m. – Symphony Band and University Choir concert at Pease Auditorium

Muslim Journeys Reception and Exhibit—

The event, which highlights books about the beliefs and culture of Muslims in the U.S., takes place on Sunday, October 20 at 2 p.m. and will be held at the Ypsilanti District Library. The event is free and open to the public.

Professor Emerita of Middle Eastern history Janice Terry will introduce the collection. An Arab American National Museum exhibit will also be on hand to tell of the lives of Arab Americans.
