Controversial rapper Kanye West, who has won 21 Grammy awards for his work, is bringing his anticipated “The Yeezus Tour” on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. to The Palace of Aurburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Mich.
The tour, sponsored by AEG Live, will make its way onto 23 different cities in seven weeks.
Already being considered for Album of the Year at the Grammy’s, “Yeezus” has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America and is West’s sixth consecutive No. 1 album.
To date, he has sold over 21 million albums and over 66 million digital tracks worldwide..
Compton native and Top Dawg Entertainment rapper, Kendrick Lamar, will also accompany West on the tour. Although a newcomer, Lamar has already made his mark in the hip hop world especially with his song “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” and his talked about verse on Big Sean’s “Control,” which rapper 50 Cent said was “a breath of fresh air.” His debut album, “good kidd, m.A.A.d city,” which was released in Oct. 2012, is certified platinum by the RIAA.
This will be West’s first solo tour in the five years since his successful “Glow in The Dark” tour. He was also on the 2011 “Watch The Throne” tour with Jay-Z, which became the highest-grossing tour in hip-hop history.
