Students develop unique clothing line

Often times before a big Eastern Michigan University game or event, we want to go show off our school spirit by buying some new gear, but many times it seems to be a little over priced or you see the same designs worn by people all over campus.

Well EMU students Travis Howell and Caleb H. Foster came up with a unique clothing line to help solve this problem.
The clothing line is called Drama Kidd Productions and offers humorous, unique shirts.

“With our slogan being ‘Speaks for itself,’ we make sure to make a shirt that will never be simple,” co-founder Foster said.

He said the clothes consist of humorous ideas brought to life on a shirt from ideas sparked by EMU students and close friends.

Howell and Foster came up with the idea for this business while on a family reunion trip, talking about dreams and goals for the future.

“Most people want to wait till they graduate college to think everything will be okay. We did this to guarantee a lifelong dream and business that will one day make it into malls across America,” Foster and Howell said in an email.

Foster originally had a dream to sign a contract with Nike, so they decided they needed something big on their résumé for anything like that to ever happen. The quote “If not now, when?” has been their inspiration since June 2012.

Drama Kidd Productions has lobby tables at least twice a week where they inform people who are interested about details on their Facebook page (DramaKidd) and their twitter account (@_DramaKidd_).

Also, on Jan. 31, they will be giving away free shirts and selling their products in the EMU Student Center Ballroom.

Drama Kidd Productions currently has their own website under construction, but if you are interested in their products you can email them at either Drama.KiddProductions@yahoo.com or Drama.KiddProductions@gmail.com.

“We have designed logos for many organizations and companies, shirts for organizations such as IMAGE and flyers across the campus and Michigan area as well,” Foster said. “We are now expanding to U of M and parts of N.Y. where the name will soon catch fire and become well known.”

“We have been trending worldwide on Twitter for one of our most popular college themed shirts and we also allow our audience to come up with our future products. If you love being seen, complimented or just want to grab attention from strangers or friends, then the clothing is perfect for you,” the owners said.

If you are looking for a new way to show off your school spirit or if you are interested in checking out some of these original shirt designs, then be sure to be on the lookout for Drama Kidd Productions on campus, on social networks or contact them by email.
