If you’re looking for something to do Friday night and need a good laugh, consider stopping by The Mix Lounge Friday.
The Mix Lounge is located at 200 W. Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti, and this weekend they will be holding the “Comedy Night Showcase.”
The first show will begin at 8 p.m. and the second will be at 11 p.m.
It is expected to be a night of entertainment with music by M&M Music and headlining comedians such as Marcus Combs and Cool Aide, a stand-up comedian from Detroit.
These comedians performed nationally in shows like Martin Lawrence’s “1st Amendment Stand Up,” P. Diddy’s “Bad Boys of Comedy,” HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam” and BET’s “Comic View.”
The show is being presented by United Sonz and The Exclusive Group and will also be featuring Mary Ann Demoss, Ms. Gee and local comedian Gordon “Big Dumb” Dooley.
“I’m the local comedian from Ypsilanti getting my big break on this show,” Dooley said.
The show is expected to be quite a crowd pleaser and Eastern Michigan University students are encouraged to go check out this type of talent performing in Ypsilanti.
