Eastern Michigan University football’s senior tight end Garrett Hoskins was chosen to play in the second annual Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game Friday. The game will be played at Kino Stadium in Tucson, Ariz.
The CDSC All-Star game features nearly 100 college seniors from across the country who want to play professional or arena-league football.
Last year’s game included 93 players, 67 of which made it to training camp rosters throughout the NFL. Six of those athletes were drafted into the NFL, including 98th overall pick offensive lineman Gino Gradkowski from the University of Delaware who was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens. Gradkowski has played in all 16 games for the Ravens this season.
Hoskins was the Eagles’ leading receiver this past season with 38 catches for 542 yards and three touchdowns. His three scores is more than any other tight end in the Mid-American Conference.
Hoskins received All-MAC second team offense honors Nov. 28 after receiving third team honors last season.
This year’s CDSC All-Star game is Friday at 7 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN3 and www.WatchESPN.com.
