The Eastern Michigan University wrestling team heads to Olivet College looking to keep its two-match winning streak going. EMU (9-4, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) goes into the match after defeating Clarion University and Indiana Tech at Bowen Field House.
EMU is currently 2-1 on the road, with victories against Cleveland State and Michigan State, so getting another road victory would be a compliment on what is so far a great season.
In order for the Eagles to defeat the Olivet Comets, EMU needs to depend on redshirt sophomore Jared Germaine, (125 lbs.), redshirt senior Andrew Novak,(133 lbs.), redshirt senior Lester France (165 lbs.), redshirt sophomore Nick Whitenburg (197 lbs.), and redshirt senior and heavyweight Wes Schroeder.
All have had successful seasons individually, and if EMU is going to defeat Olivet, their success will need to continue in the form of decisions, or better yet pins.
EMU needs a victory on Thursday in order to gain some momentum before they return home to face MAC rival Northern Illinois for their third of five conference matches.
The match against Olivet will be Thursday at 7 p.m at Olivet College.
