“Nirvana: Live at the Paramount,” a 19-song set, will be shown at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Student Center Auditorium. The show is free of charge. “Live at the Paramount” was one of Nirvana’s last concerts before front man Kurt Cobain passed away in 1994.

University Health Services is offering Eastern Michigan University students additional opportunities for flu shots this season. Vaccination clinics will be held at Snow Health Center and McKenny Union. Snow Pharmacy, which is a Blue Cross/Blue Shield in-network provider for flu vaccines, is offering the vaccine to policy holders for free, but charges $30 for non-policy holders.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield cards must be presented.

Eastern Michigan University’s Frank Ross Lab Theatre is presenting “How I Learned to Drive.” Directed by Sarah Leahy and written by Paula Vogel, the play is about a woman who was sexually abused by her aunt’s husband while growing up.
Shows are at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday in 107 Quirk, The Lab Theatre.
Tickets cost $5 at the door and are available up to 30 minutes before the show.

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, Eastern Michigan University’s Center for Multicultural Affairs is presenting “The Indian School: The Survivors’ Story.” The documentary by EMU professor Kay McGowan and her twin sister Fay Givens is being presented at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14 in the Student Center Auditorium.
The documentary tells the story of the Native American students of a school who were “abused beyond imagination” and forced to abandon their culture to become “servants to America.”

A facilitated discussion is scheduled to follow the film.

In celebration of the religious Muslim day Eid al-Adha, the Muslim Student Association will host an Eid dinner from 7-10 p.m. Sunday in Ballroom A of EMU’s Student Center. The second annual dinner, co-sponsored by Student Government, will feature Saudi-Arabian speaker Majed Mahmoud and beat-boxer Hassan Ahmed.

The event is LBC credit-approved and free of charge, but donations will be accepted to aid Somalia in its time of need. This year’s theme will focus on charity to family, neighbors and community.
