EMU indoor bubble gets busted by high winds

A $3.9 million project by Eastern Michigan University was put in place last year and now serves as a practice ground for the football, soccer, golf, baseball and softball teams. On Saturday, while the football team was in Mt. Pleasant for a rivalry matchup with Central Michigan, the infamous ‘bubble’ burst.

The NFL’s San Francisco 49ers were holding practice in the facility preparing for their Sunday game against the Detroit Lions when high winds reaching up to 15 mph ripped a 15-inch hole in the bubble.
