Campus:
Sept. 4 – At 6:09 p.m. an occupied stolen vehicle was recovered near North Huron River Drive and Leforge Road. The driver fled on foot.

Sept. 5 – A minor was cited for possession of alcohol at 1:09 a.m. on West Cross Street and College Place.

Sept. 6 – Roommates disrupted the public peace while having a verbal dispute in Sellers Hall.

At approximately 2 p.m., threats were written on the bathroom wall in Best Hall.

Threats were written at approximately 4 p.m. on a men’s bathroom wall in the Student Center.

Graffiti was found in a stairwell at 6:09 p.m. in Munson Apartments.

Cash was stolen from an unattended purse at 8:09 p.m. in Pray-Harrold.

Sept. 7 – Around midnight, a suspect set fire to a toilet paper dispenser in the Student Center.

Sept. 8 – At 3:09 p.m. a custom EMU area rug was stolen from Pierce Hall.

A minor was found in possession of alcohol at around 11 p.m. in Buell Hall.

Sept. 9 – At 11:09 a.m. ‘Eagles’ was written on a building at the Cornell Courts Apartments.

Sept. 10 – At 2:09 a.m. an intoxicated minor was cited for alcohol use and transported to the hospital from Wise Hall.

Local:
Sept. 6 – A home invasion occurred at 8:45 a.m. in the 9000 block of Ascot Drive. The victim scared the suspect, described as a black male wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and a black ball cap, out of the home. No property was reported stolen.

A catalytic converter was taken from a parked motor vehicle in the 2800 block of Bynan Drive.

At approximately 4 p.m. an armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of the Family Dollar at 1001 Emerick Dr. After leaving the store, the victim was approached by an adult male with a handgun demanding money. The suspect took the victim’s wallet and fled the area via a vehicle, later recovered by the police. The suspect was described as a bald, approximately 5-foot-9, 160-lb black male wearing sunglasses and a black/gray windbreaker. No arrests have been made.

At about 11:30 p.m., two males approached a home in the 8000 block of Barrington Drive attempting to rob it. One of the suspects presented a handgun at the door, the victim yelled and the suspects fled on foot. No property was stolen and the victim was not injured.

Sept. 7 – A victim reported a GPS and car stereo stolen from a parked motor vehicle at St. Joseph Hospital.

A yellow 4000-watt generator and Stihl cut saw were stolen from a storage trailer on a construction site in the 7000 block of Merrit Drive.

In the 1400 block of Desoto Avenue a residential garage was robbed. The garage had been forced open, and a Craftsman power washer was stolen.

A Generex 17-kilowatt generator was forcibly removed and stolen from the side of a business in the 1000 block of James L. Hart Drive.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. deputies responded to a burglary complaint in the 1500 block of East Clark Road. The deputies arrested a 48-year-old male in the course of the investigation.

Sept. 8 – Prescription medication, cash and a laptop computer were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 3000 block of Ramsgate Drive.

A residential buglary occurred in the 3000 block of Montrose Street. The home was entered while the victims were away; a Samsung DVD player and miscellaneous food items were stolen.

A 26-year-old Manchester Township resident is in critical condition after crashing into a utility pole at approximately 3 p.m. in the area of Austin and Grossman Roads. The injured driver passed a vehicle, unaware of oncoming traffic. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. It is unknown if alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
