The Eastern Michigan University women’s cross-country team took eighth place in the Inter-Collegiate Bubble Buster Friday in Toledo, Ohio, recording 204 points.
Teams finishing above the Eagles included Ohio State (seventh), Baylor (sixth), Mid-American Conference opponent Toledo (fifth). Arkansas won the invitational with 36 points.
No Eagle finished in the top 15. Freshman Victoria Voronko led EMU with a time of 13:56.9, placing in 21st.
The next Eagles to finish included junior Morgan Churchwell who placed 30th (14:13.5) and junior Courtney Calka who finished in 53rd (14:37.7).
Eastern’s next meet is Saturday in Kentucky for the Greater Louisville Classic. Starting time is still to be determined.
