Sept. 28
A pizza delivery driver was robbed in the 1000 block of Jeff Street. Deputies discovered the victim drove to a residence to deliver a pizza. The residence was dark and there were no vehicles in the driveway, but the victim got out of his vehicle and knocked on a side door. Two suspects came out from the backyard of the residence and grabbed the victim from behind and assaulted him. The suspects took property from the victim and fled the scene.
A home invasion occurred in the 1000 block of South Harris Road. The suspect opened an exterior screen window and then a glass window to gain entry. It was then that the homeowner yelled at the suspect. The suspect then fled the scene at 12: 15 p.m. The homeowner gave a detailed description of the suspect and two sheriff’s deputies found the suspect in a neighboring apartment building. The suspect, a 22-year-old male resident of Ypsilanti Township, was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.
A suspect smashed the driver’s side window of a vehicle around 5 p.m. in the 1000 block of Lester Street at 10 p.m. An unknown amount of cash was taken from the vehicle.
Sept. 29
A domestic violence situation occurred between a boyfriend and girlfriend in Pittman Hall at 9:58 p.m.
Deputies responded to a larceny from an automobile complaint in the 2000 block of International Drive. The suspect opened an unlocked vehicle door to gain entry around 12:30 p.m. A car stereo, Nintendo game system and iPod Nano were taken.
During a traffic stop on Michigan Avenue near Johnson Street, deputies contacted several occupants and determined the front seat passenger was wanted on three outstanding warrants. The subject was wanted for two warrants on domestic violence and one for larceny.
An individual was arrested at the sheriff’s office on Hogback Road for a felony warrant for child neglect. The subject was lodged in the county jail.
Sept. 30
A stalking misdemeanor was issued after an ex-boyfriend was discovered stalking his ex-girlfriend in Pittman Hall around 6:40 p.m.
Housing staff in Walton Hall reported an intoxicated student at 12:59 a.m.
Intoxicated minors found entering Pittman Hall were cited at 1:09 a.m.
A home invasion occurred in the 2000 block of Mary Catherine Street. Deputies discovered that two suspects opened an unlocked front door to gain entry. The first suspect confronted the homeowner and assaulted him. The first subject then held the homeowner on the floor while the second suspect took property from the residence. The suspect then let go of the homeowner and took property as he exited the residence. Both suspects got into a vehicle and fled the scene at 2:20 p.m. A television set, laptop computer and digital camera were taken.
In the 2000 block of International Drive, a burglary took place after a suspect kicked in the door of an apartment to gain entry around 4 p.m. An Xbox game system and money order were taken.
Oct. 2
Two intoxicated minors were observed at the Kid Cudi concert and issued citations at 8:26 p.m.
A disorderly subject was escorted from the Kid Cudi concert at the Convocation Center at 9:22 p.m.
