Sept. 21
An individual was pulled over for driving with no headlights. The police noticed the subject was operating under the influence at 1:53 a.m. on Emmet Street near Hamilton Street.

A subject was lodged for a failure to appear on a warrant for public intoxication out of EMU’s Public Safety Department. The individual was arrested at 10:18 on Oakwood Street.

A GPS system and an unknown amount of cash were taken from an automobile in the 800 block of East Grand Boulevard after a suspect opened an unlocked door to gain entry around 10 a.m.

A purse was taken from a vehicle in the 2000 block of Golfside Drive. Deputies discovered a suspect smashed the window of the driver’s side at 8:30 p.m.

A driver was arrested during a traffic stop on Grove Road near Harris Road for several outstanding warrants including assault and battery and possession of marijuana.

Sept. 22
A laptop was stolen from a locked room in Pittman Hall around 12:40 a.m.

A laptop, digital camera and two sets of digital camera lenses were stolen from a vehicle in the 2000 block of Colony Way around 6 a.m.

A suspect stole a vehicle from a parking lot in the 2000 block of Grove Road. The vehicle was left running with the keys in the ignition at 9:24 a.m. Deputies investigated the incident and discovered the car had a GPS chip in it. After the vehicle was located, two juvenile suspects fled on foot. One suspect was caught and the other was identified.

An armed robbery took place in the 800 block of Ecorse Road at 11:05 p.m. A deputy saw a subject riding a bicycle that matched the description of the suspect. The deputy attempted to make contact with the subject, but the suspect got off of his bicycle and fled. Several deputies chased the suspect and he was caught with the assistance of a Michigan State Police trooper. Several pieces of evidence, along with the handgun used in the robbery, were recovered.

A front-seat passenger in a vehicle was arrested on East Michigan Avenue after deputies discovered he had a warrant for breaking and entering a coin device.

Sept. 23
A man was robbed in the 2000 block of Grove Road at 11 p.m. As the victim was leaving a party store walking west on Grove Road, he was approached by an individual. The subject asked the victim if he “wanted to buy something.” The man declined and turned to walk away when he was hit over the head with an unknown object. The victim woke up and noticed his cellphone, wallet and an unknown amount of cash were taken. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital by a Huron Valley Ambulance.

A man was arrested after deputies came into contact with several subjects in the 6000 block of Lake Drive. The subject was arrested for four outstanding warrants including domestic violence and operating while impaired.
