June 6 — Damage to business property in Jones Hall was reported.
A subject was arrested for possession of marijuana while walking through campus near West Circle Drive and Oakwood Street at 11:08 p.m.
June 7 — A larceny occurred at Halle Library. The suspect attempted to sell the books at the bookstore at 3:03 p.m.
June 8 — A student was reported for disturbing the peace at 9:36 a.m. at Snow Health Center. The suspect was upset about prescription pill charges and was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Pittsfield Township.
Two cases of students attempting to sell books stolen from Halle Library to a local bookstore occurred between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Both cases remain open.
A larceny occurred in Halle Library. A backpack containing a laptop was stolen at 4:15 p.m., the case is open.
A camera lens and microphone were stolen while left unattended at the Convocation Center between 7 and 8 p.m. The case remains open.
June 9 — A subject was arrested near the meters in front of Downing Hall for failure to appear for a bench warrant for driving with a suspended license. The subject was arrested at 7:32 p.m.
June 10 — An intoxicated subject was observed at West Cross and Perrin streets at 5:57 a.m. The subject was transported to a hospital by a Huron Valley ambulance.
A van was stolen on Huron Street from a lot between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
June 11 — An unconscious subject was observed near West Cross Street at 2:03 a.m. The subject was found in a parking lot and was transported to the hospital.
June 14 — The Ypsilanti Police are investigating a robbery and criminal sexual assault that reportedly took place at 10:30 a.m. in the 600 block of West Cross Street. The victim involved in the case is an EMU student. The victim awoke to find the suspect with a knife. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim and fled on foot from the location. The suspect was described as an African American male, six-feet-tall, 180 lbs., between late 20’s and early 30’s. The victim said the subject was wearing a white tank top, white t-shirt and blue-jean shorts.Anyone with information should call the Ypsilanti Police Department at 734.483.9510.
