Police Blotter Jan. 5 - 11

Jan. 5
At approximately 10:43 p.m., a rock was thrown through a window at Westview Apartments. There are no suspects, and anyone with any information regarding the act of vandalism and destruction of business property is encouraged to contact the Ypsilanti Police.

Jan. 6
A man was arrested for possession of marijuana at 2:02 a.m. The subject was driving a car at the time and was pulled over by Ypsilanti Police for noticeably poor driving. Upon investigation, police discovered a sizable quantity of cannabis in the subject’s car. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and operating a vehicle while intoxicated were issued.

Jan. 8
A group of underage subjects were caught consuming alcohol in Downing Residence Hall at 10:32 p.m. The underage imbibers were issued minors in possession.

Jan. 10
A loud argument was overheard in Hill Hall around midnight. A complaint of disturbing public peace was filed at 12:13 a.m. The two arguing were allegedly boyfriend and girlfriend, and no claims of physical abuse have been reported.

Jan. 11
A burglary at Buell Hall was reported at 9:23 a.m. A PDA was stolen from the main lobby, and no suspect has yet been identified. The case remains open, and anyone with any information regarding the missing PDA is encouraged to notify DPS or the Ypsilanti Police.
