Jan. 12
A drunk driver was arrested at the intersection of Cross Street and Hamilton Street at 2:22 a.m. The subject was discovered driving the wrong way on Cross Street – a one-way street – and was pulled over by the Ypsilanti police. The subject was issued an OWI and brought to the Ypsilanti police station for further questioning.

An unattended business textbook was stolen from the computer lab in the College of Business at 3:50 p.m. However, the thief was apprehended within a few hours. The case was closed by 9 p.m.

Jan. 15
A car was discovered on Huron Street with obscenities written on it. The vehicle was also damaged by key markings and other scratches. The perpetrators of this damage to personal property were identified and issued fines.

Jan. 16
A fight broke out at the Eastern Eateries around 10:15 p.m. Specifics of the conflict are yet uncertain. Anyone with any information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact DPS.

Jan. 17
A disturbance of public peace was reported at 12:55 a.m. Subjects were found in the Sill and Alexander parking lots creating a disturbance. It was not verified if alcohol or other substances were involved in the incident.

A minor in possession of alcohol was discovered in the bathroom of Walton Hall at 1:30 a.m., and DPS was promptly notified. A Minor in Possession citation was issued, and the intoxicated subject was transported to the hospital.
